Do I need to book or can I just turn up?
All our sessions require a pre booking. Unfortunately we do not do drop in sessions. This is mainly for insurance purposes. We also have strict gymnasts to coach rations which are set by our National Governing Body - British Gymnastics.
What should I wear?
Ideally a leotard is the best attire for gymnastics. We understand that not everyone will own a leotard when they are first starting out. That is fine. We advise you wear flexible bottoms, such as leggings and a tight fitting t-shirt. This is so that none of your clothing can get stuck or tangled on any of the apparatus. We advise bare feet, however you can wear specialist gymnastics shoes if you own a pair. If your hair is long enough to be tied back please ensure it is secured back in either a ponytail or a bun (Plaits are acceptable). Also due to safety and insurance purposes no jewellery is permitted, this includes earrings. We also advise that you bring a pair of socks with you to your session. We do use some equipment, such as trampolines, that require the use of socks.
What do I need to bring with me to my session?
You will need a bag large enough to fit all your belongings in there. Your will also need to bring a drink, ideally in a sports bottle so that it doesn't spill. If you also have your own chalk and bar grips and loops please bring these too.
Inclusive Gymnastics
As a club we try to be as inclusive as we can. If you have any needs that may need to be catered for please speak to Kirstie before your sessions and we will be more than happy to adapt our sessions to suit your needs.
Please note there are some disabilities / medical conditions, such as Down's Syndrome, that do need medical clearance/ screening before participation. For more information on this please speak to Kirstie or contact British Gymnastics who will be able to advise.

Can I bring someone to watch/ wait for me?
Yes. You are more than welcome to bring someone along to wait for you, however they will have to wait in our waiting area. Unfortunately they will not be permitted access to the gym due to safeguarding, safety and insurance purposes.
Parking
We do have allocated parking at our venue. If the spaces are full unfortunately you will have to find an alternative parking space. We do ask that you do not park in front of the roller shutter doors, fire exits or the keep clear box. These need to remain clear in case of emergencies. We also kindly ask you respect our neighbours and do not park outside of their premises without prior permission.
Body Piercings
All jewellery should be removed before participation. This is for safety and insurance purposes. If you have recently had a piercing and it is in the healing process, under British Gymnastics Policy you MUST cover the piercing, until the healing period (6 weeks) is completed. We kindly ask that you cover your piercing with either plasters or Elastoplast tape. Please do not cover piercings with Micropore. This is due to allergies at the club. You will also need to sign a waiver form regarding your piercings. All piercings must then be removed after the 6 week period to avoid refusal of participation.
